War Veterans Join O-W-S AND Banks' Zero Taxes

The Lame Street Media would have the OMOTS believe that most of the Occupy Wall Street protesters are a bunch of clowns smoking weed and looking for free food and love!

Eli Wright pictured left, is none of the above and yesterday marched alongside O-W-S protesters.

He said on Democracy Now (see link at beginning of this morning's show) that upon returning from battle the promised health care and education have not been fulfilled.

Meanwhile at Times Square two weeks ago another ex-Marine (see link below) spoke out in support of O-W-S. These brave and courageous men and women CANNOT BE IGNORED as they are being ignored by the LSM and the more veterans show up at O-W-S, the more US citizens will be galvanized.

BANKS' PAY PUNY TAXES

According to a recent study, 30 companies in the US paid NO TAXES dues to tax subsidies offered by the government among them Wells Fargo who received $18 BILLION IN TAX BREAKS BETWEEN 2008 AND 2010.

This is the economic imbalance that US taxpayers are struggling with. This is the reason for the EXISTENCE OF THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT.

According to the study "78 of the 280 Fortune 500 corporations studied enjoyed at least one year in which they paid an effective tax rate of zero or less."(see link below)

According to page 4 of the PDF report, Wells Fargo made profits of $49.3 BILLION in profit between 2008 and 2010 but had tax write offs/subsidies of $ -681 million.

That's an EFFECTIVE NEGATIVE TAX RATE of -1.4%.



Total profits generated between 2008 and 2010 by these 30 firms amounted to $160.341 BILLION, but taxes paid/unpaid amounted to a WHOPPING $10.742 BILLION or an effective NEGATIVE tax rate of -6.7%

And while these corporate and banking entities enjoy tax breaks, subsidies and BAILOUTS, veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan return to unfulfilled health care and education promises.

This is a SCANDALOUS OUTRAGE.
