Here is a strange story.
Friend of mine saw an add on Ebay for a "Carbon Fiber Racing Bike" and saw the price was a little on the low side, so he went to the residence of the guy selling the bike, local sale.
When he saw the bike from afar, he thought wow, great deal until up close he saw the letters:
C-H-I-N-A-E-R-E-L-L-O
He promptly thanked the potential seller and high tailed it out of there. Apparently there are fake carbon fiber bikes being made to look like high end Italian ones that are made in China to crappy specifications.
Imagine flying down a descent at 50-60 mph and the entire bike frame implodes?
Or cornering at 35-40 mph and the front fork just falls away?
BEWARE fake chinese bikes made to look like Italian high end ones!
